LEXINGTON – As a reminder, just in case you don’t know, it was 50 years ago today that the 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was assassinated. In his inaugural address he spoke of the need for all Americans to be active citizens. The most  famous line to come out of that speech was; “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”

Today is the 50th Anniversary of the death of the nations 35th President, John F. Kennedy. May you rest in peace Mr. President.

Today is the 50th anniversary of the death of the nations 35th and only Catholic President, John F. Kennedy. May he rest in peace.

What seems to have been lost in that speech was an equally powerful message to the world to join together and fight “the common enemies of man; tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.’

My how times have changed, or have they?

And now ‘7 sporting thoughts’ for the weekend!

1 – HS Football playoffs are going into week 3 – Region Champions are crowned tonight so go to a game and support these young athletes.

She will be the first woman to MC the event and maybe one of its best athletes as well. Jennifer was my golf partner for the 2011 Wounded Warrior golf scramble…….and yes she beat me……easily.
