The Crimson Tide’s pure dominance in this series with Kentucky would lull any average fan to sleep. I mean, really, why tune in?  The numbers speak for themselves.

Besides the fact that Alabama won the last meeting, 38-20, at Commonwealth Stadium in 2009. The Tide hold a 35-2-1 advantage in the series and have won four straight since a 40-34 overtime win for the Wildcats in 1997. Both of Kentucky’s wins in the series have come in Lexington, but Alabama boasts a 15-2 record in the state of Kentucky.

The last time Kentucky beat Alabama in football Bill Clinton was the president, Kentucky basketball coach Rick Pitino and his team finished the season as NCAA Runner-Up, and the #1 song was “Candle In The Wind” by Elton John.

For a coach whose team is ranked #1 and undefeated, Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban sounded surprisingly concerned talking about the Cats.

“I think Kentucky is really playing well as a team,” Saban said. “Sometimes you look at the won-loss record, and it’s a little deceiving. They’ve played three really good football teams in a row, and played them really tough and played them well.”

Doesn’t sound like a head coach whose team is favored by 27 points now does it?

The Cats will put up a fight and maybe even scratch an eye out of the elephants, but eventually the Tide will Roll as always – Leonard’s Loser…err AQ loser Kentucky by 19.
